Sun Mountain bags are light as well as durable.
For shoes I would say Footjoy is probably the best shoe, but Puma and J Lindeberg are good as well if you want to be a little more fashionable.

I would say the best stand bag would be any Ogio bag, as for the shoes go with Adidas powerband no questions. They are amazing.

I love my ogio bags, one thing to consider is if you own forged clubs they bang against each other and get scratched/dented pretty bad in a stand bag, you might consider a cart bag with 14 compartments and a push cart. you can get a cart at rockbottomgolf.com for about 50.
ecco shoes are great but a little heavy. I was always a big believer in nike, but recently tried foot joys, no comparison go with foot joy.

I really like the Sun Mountain range of bags. Light, durable and plenty of pockets to store things in. In terms of shoes, Footjoy are always comfortable and hard-wearing, but you could also try Nike and Ecco.

Huge fan of Ogio stand bags; definitely consider them. For shoes, DryJoy fan. I went to Golf galaxy, and the guy said for men's shoes, about 1/2 of what he sells are DryJoys. Too comfortable; I love them.

mizuno bags are cool, also taylormade

adidas 360 golf shoes are cool, although footjoy probably make the best shoes as they just concentrate on golf performance

The Ping Hoofer is pretty much the standard for high school and college players, and has been for years. Very lightweight and functional. They can also be customized.

Picking out shoes is pretty much based on style these days as long as you buy quality brands and upper tier shoes. Stick to Footjoy, Nike, Ecco, or Adidas. Anything below $100 is most likely made with inferior leathers. Take care of them and you can get 3/4 years out of them. I wear Footjoy DryJoys. Buy a pair every year and take care of them. Soon you'll have enough to go with any wardrobe.

The vast majority of golf bags are made in the same sweet shop in China and are all basically the same. Do you really need a new one? Old beat up golf bags are cool.
I have had good luck with Foot Joy, my newest pair is Nike they are nice too. Again, you really cant go wrong with a name brand shoe.
Tip: Keep good spikes in you shoes, it will help you swing!
