Make sure you wear shoes with decent traction (running shoes if you don't have golf shoes). Trust me, I've seen many many teenagers take lessons and they just wear casual stuff. Just remember not to wear flip-flops, they will be very uncomfortable (I'd rather go barefoot). If you go to a country club or a private course, a polo is mandatory, or a mock neck I suppose.
