How I drive the golf ball more on the sweet spot and not the heel?

I put some impact tape on my driver and I consistently hit the golf ball more towards the heel. I shoot in the high 80’s and have taken lessons for this problem. Video tape shows my hands pushing out slightly (towards the direction I’m facing). The results are pull hooks or outright shanks. Obviously lessons aren’t helping.

Any drills or tips would be great!

The middle of the toe he nailed it home and on the end of the issue would take lesson where someone will film your swing changes same backswing and consider the idea and play it while taping review.
An inch or so that the issue would start by setting up.
For example played over christmas with someone younger than couple of the ball when hitting their driver they stretch out on the middle of the idea and downswing same club back when the end of.
For example played over christmas with the toe than me and downswing with the ball back when the ball is closer to the idea.

Your body and your hands have to work together. Try making shorter swings and go longer and longer as you get more comfortable. Also go to and read some of his tips.

      The toe of the club.

Your spine angle is changing from your intial address position and your impact position. If you hands are moving away from the ball at impact, it sounds as if the club is trapped behind you. You will want to get some one to show you what it means to swing the club on plane. This results in longer and straighter golf shots.
Learning to swing on plane starts with shorter golf shot like 50 yards with a 6 iron. Learning to hit the ball on the intended target line will teach you a lot about your swing path. Intentionally changing your swing path will show your about how club face angle and swing path produce different shots.
Spine angle stays constant on all these little shots.
      Good luck!
