Are golf lessons worth it?

My friend keeps saying i should get lessons.
Idk if I should spend money on them cuz he’s been golfing for a year and i’m about as good as him.
Tell me what you think.

      It shouldn’t matter how good your friend is or how your game compares to his. Do you want to be a better golfer? If yes, take a lesson. If no, then spend your money on something else.

      Yes as a beginning golfer it would be well worth your time to take some lessons.You can take either private or group lessons depending on your budget.Golfing is not about whether your better than he is or not.Golfing should be about beating your own scores and improving your game.

      My swing has gone from good lesson from good instructor will save you lifetime of instruction still have few more hours ive purchased but good instructor will save you lifetime of money and my swing has gone from somebody who is class pga member.
