Jeff McRitchie asked:

If your company uses a lot of three ring binders then chances are you need a high quality three hole punch. However, there are a lot of different 3-hole punches available on the market. Every punch has its own unique set of features and its strengths and weaknesses. This article is designed to help you understand the questions you need to ask and the features you need to consider when choosing a three hole punch. Here are five things…

1. The first thing you will need to decide when choosing a three hole punch is whether you want a manual punch or an electric one. Manual punches are usually less expensive and often are built with higher quality parts. However, electric punches are easier to use and usually faster than manual punches. Ultimately, your organization will need to decide which option best fits your needs and your budget.

2. The second thing you need to decide when choosing a three hole punch is the punching capacity that you require. Small manual desktop punches are designed to punch just a few sheets at a time. Other larger punches can punch large volumes of paper at once. Depending on how much punching you need to do, you will need to decide how many pages you will need to punch per lift.

3. When choosing a three-hole punch, it is also important to decide whether you will need adjustable punching heads. Some punches will allow you to produce a three hole pattern as well as a two hole pattern. If you are punching documents with two holes for filing you might need to look for this feature. Some punches also have the ability to move the placement of the holes for your punch. This can be a handy feature if you are planning on using non standard ring binders or need to use half letter size ring binders.

4. A fourth thing to consider when choosing a three-hole punch is construction. The best punches will be made of metal and will be heavy duty. Punches that are constructed out of plastic will often fall apart over time and will break. Look for a punch that is made of steel and that has heavy duty punching dies.

5. If your organization does a lot of punching it is important to look for punch that allows you to replace the dies if they become dull. Over time, punch heads will begin to lose their sharpness. If you can’t easily replace the heads you will end up needing to buy a new punch.

As you are looking at different options for 3-hole punches you should consider these five things. More than likely you will need to find a balance between these features and your budget. However, knowing what to look for will help you choose the punch that is best suited to your needs.

Imagine being on your last ski run, and heading down the mountain straight to your slopeside residence. You take off your boots, kick up your feet, and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while watching the skiers come down the mountain. There are many places where you can achieve this by owning property slopeside next to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village.

One of the many ski-in/ski-out options are the Tram Tower residences which include12 units in total. Built in the early 1990’s, the complex is located right off of the Lower Tram Line ski run. There are 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms units in the community that each come with underground parking. The Tram Tower community also has many amenities including a pool, tennis court, gym, hot tub, sauna, and men’s and women’s locker rooms. The complex has resort zoning, so owners can enter their unit into a short term rental program if they choose. A 2 bedroom townhome in the Tram Tower development lists for $1,745,000 and a 4 bedroom will run up to about $2,950,000.

Crystal Springs, located at the base of the mountain was completed in 2003. The ski-in/ski-out building is situated in the heart of Teton Village and is steps away from restaurants, shops and bars. The units are finished with granite counters, stainless appliances, hardwood floors, and fireplaces. One underground parking space comes with each condo. A 3 bedroom and 3 and a half bath condo will typically cost you between $2,200,000 and $2,495,000.

Another ski-in/ski-out option is the Teton Mountain Lodge, a condo-hotel project that was completed in 2002. The property functions like a hotel; however, the units are individually owned. Each condo owner has the option of putting their unit in the rental pool, where they can earn rental income. The hotel has a restaurant, spa, pool, 20-person hot tub, yoga room and fitness facility. With an on-site property management company, owners can truly enjoy worry-free ownership. A one bedroom studio in the Teton Mountain Lodge lists for approximately $565,000 and a 3 bedroom penthouse runs up to $2,895,000.

Owning a condo at the Four Seasons is another great way to be on the ski slopes while living in the lap of luxury. The five-star, five-diamond hotel has world class services and amenities including a full-service spa, 2 restaurants, ski valet, kids club room, pool, fitness facility, ski concierge and much more. The outdoor fire place allows owners and guests to relax by the fire while watching the skiers and snowboarders make their way down the mountain. The listing price for a condo in the Fours Seasons starts at $2,950,000 and goes up to around $3,800,000.

These are just a few examples of the many ski-in/ski-out real estate options in Teton Village. It is a great thing to be able to enjoy the beauty of the Jackson Hole area along with your favorite winter sport; however, it is even more magnificent to enjoy these moments with complete convenience and ease.

defOf asked:

Deepak Chopra has recently taken up golf, and like so much of what the guru does, it may turn a profit too.

Chopra has written about his new game in a book titled, “Golf for Enlightenment.”

The MD and former disciple of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi says, “I nourish my relationship with the ball by saying, ‘You’re part of me…. When you soar, I will soar with you.’ ”

Right.

And Chopra insists, “It’s not about winning.”

But according to an LA Times article “Golf with Deepak” by Roy Rivenburg, Chopra doesn’t really seem to follow through on his mantras.

When his game didn’t go well the guru/doctor “became increasingly rattled and distracted.” At one hole “he walked off without two of his clubs.”

Later as the Times staff writer watched, “he hit the wrong ball in the tree area [and] his karma went completely on the fritz.”

The golfing guru later tacitly admitted, “My book isn’t really about golf…It would be stupid of me to write a book about golf…. The title just gets you in the door. Once you’re in the door, it’s about something else — spirituality.”

So once again as Rivenburg points out astutely Chopra is “a shrewd marketer.”

It seems the guru’s golf book is just another gimmick, this time to target men as consumers for his “spiritual…empire.”

Dr. Deepak has followed in the footsteps of his mentor Maharishi and made “spirituality” into a virtual money machine.
