Golf holiday algarve :The Algarve in Portugal is one of the most popular golf destinations in Europe. The region enjoys 300 days of glorious sunshine coupled with very pleasant weather. Tourists from the UK, Germany and Holland especially come to the region to enjoy days of winter golf away from the freezing conditions back home.

The world-class tourist facilities, wonderful weather, excellent golf courses, superb beaches lashed by Mediterranean waters have turned the Algarve into a major tourist center in Europe.

There are so many top courses here in the Algarve; you will be spoilt for choice when you have to decide on a golf course among them. The by now famous names of some of the courses are Parque da Floresta, Palmares, Boavista, Penina, Morgado do Requengo, and many more. While these golf courses are very well renowned, there are plenty of courses to choose from throughout the Algarve. Most of these are located in Eastern Algarve, and offer smaller, simpler courses. And as the Algarve area is rather compact, all of the area’s golf courses are within easy driving distance from any point in the Algarve. The landscape of the Algarve countryside with rolling hills and rich pine woodlands makes the drives from course to course a lovely experience.

Accommodation facilities are available near all the courses as classy golf resorts have come up all along the course routes. There are also 5 star accommodation facilities available in hotels surrounding the golf courses. Norman Stanley asked:

Anyone starting out as a golfer will probably scour the Internet for golf lessons online. The information super highway is awash with free information and it can seem as if there is a golf guru around every corner but is it as easy as that? The short answer is no.

Free information whilst having the benefit of being free is usually a sales pitch of one kind or another and so the information given is naturally going to lead you by the nose to a conclusion that suits the seller rather than you the golfer. I would point out that there are some genuine people out there who will provide tips and advice for nothing but the caution here is “Do they really know what they are talking about?”

If you are serious about learning about golf then I would recommend purchasing a course of instruction and following it through thoroughly. The important word here is thoroughly. I have had so many people say “I bought such and such book and it didn’t work for me.” When I question them more closely it usually turns out that, yes they bought the book, course DVD etc and watched or read it once, tried a couple of things and when it didn’t work straightaway they dismissed it out of hand.

Let’s be clear, there is no magic golf book, no golf guru or golf lesson that will transform you into a scratch player overnight. Tiger Woods still has a coach. The worlds foremost golfer still takes instruction. Why do you imagine that a few tips from the Internet will cure your slice, improve your putting or give you the longest drive in the world?

Any golf lesson online or from your golf pro will only, can only provide a framework on which to build. You have to meet it halfway which means you have to take the course or book and use it, practise it and keep practising it.

A quality golf course bought online will provide you with the information you need in a clear and most importantly consistent manner so that one aspect of the golf game follows another in a logical sequence. Golf professionals do not jump from one trainer to another and neither should you.

It really is worth finding a good golf lesson program and then practising what they teach you. If you can find a golf lesson series or course that suits the way you want to learn, and everybody is different then it can make a wonderful improvement to your enjoyment and your skill which is after all why we play the game ,isn’t it?

Stephen Long asked:

I was fortunate as a youth to grow up on a golf course. Besides the scenic view, there were numerous benefits to living on the golf course.

I could pull up a lawn chair and observe and take in all of the free golf lessons a young aspiring golfer could ever want. There were many good golfers worthy of picking up pointers, but the golfers that really stuck into my memory over the years were from the bad golfers.

Golf, while a serious competitive game, was taken a bit too serious by some. One of my first golf lessons was watching the turf fly further than the ball. While we have all done that once or twice, the real lesson was the four-letter vocabulary I learned that was used to describe such a shot. That lesson could then proceed to the more advanced lessons on how to ground your club hard into the ground. If it was a real special day I might even learn how golfers wrap their clubs around trees.

Living on the course I would also occasionally dive into the golf course ponds to pick up golf balls. This was very profitable as we could on a good night pick up 75 or more name brand balls and sell them the next day for 50 cents a piece. For a young kid I was rolling in the dough!

The best finds out of the ponds were not the golf balls. Once in a while we might pick up a club or two. But the grand prize of all was finding complete sets of golf clubs. Evidently for some golfers wrapping the club around a tree wasn’t enough. So if you’re that frustrated why not throw the club into the pond!

Looking back I think the guy that threw his whole set of clubs in at least had something right. He knew that he had to walk away from the game. Golf is meant to be fun! We all have bad shots or bad days but don’t let it eat you alive.

I still wonder how the guy that threw his whole set ever got home that day. I still have his keys!

Maxx Johnson asked:

In looking for online golf tips I always go back to one of my father’s sayings, “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.” Everywhere you look, there are free golf lessons, online golf tips, and golf instructions of how to swing a golf club. Not only are beginning golfers looking for the “magic bullet” but, they want it for free. Beginning golfers to mid-handicap golfers be the most aware as these players tend to look for any golf instruction information. Better players tend not to do this because they understand that not all information is good information. Before using any free information from the web, take your time. Once online, you need to be very careful with the experience and certifications of the golf instructor. Is it a PGA Golf Professional or someone just writing for their blog about their own experience?

So can you benefit from online golf tips? Where do you find them? First, think about what exactly it is that you would like to have help with. As with any search, the more specific the search the better matches will appear. Proceed to Google or your favorite search engine, and type your thought in the search bar. Obviously, you can then search the results for exactly what you want.

Another saying is you get what you pay for. This saying also screams to be cautious about the word free. Some very good instructors offer free online golf tips or golf lessons on their website. Again, you have to do your research about the author or instructor. Obviously, a Top 100 instructor is going to be giving you good information. If you do not recognize the author, you can go to the PGA.com homepage and search their database of PGA members. The PGA of America even offers a Specialty Certification in Instruction for their members to further educate and separate themselves.

The truth of the matter is if the professional or instruction is trying to get you into positions, I would stay away from it. The most important part of your golf swing is your golf club and the club face. The instruction that you are reading or taking should focus on these aspects. If the shaft is moving in the right direction and the club face is in the proper position it really does not matter if you are standing on your head or not, the ball will be propelled in the proper direction.

Beginning golfers looking for online golf tips or online golf lessons can find some good information as long as they are careful. One good resource is virtualgolfswing.com. This site was developed by PGA Professionals that have taught at such facilities as TPC at Sawgrass, TPC at The Woodlands, The Woodlands Country Club and The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. You can find free online golf tips and golf instruction articles. In addition, virtualgolfswing.com has created a member section that will give you golf instruction that is literally specific to your golf swing.

Beginning golfers and mid-handicappers can find great information online golf tips about the golf swing and short game. Make sure to do your homework about who the information is coming from and use common sense. Remember, “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.”
