There is a seemingly endless supply of golf accessories on the market today, and more are coming out all the time. But which ones are good investments, and which are a waste of time? Well, let’s discuss some of the golf accessories that have proven themselves to be most useful.
Very high on the list of the most useful golf accessories are golf books and videos. Of course, there are countless books and videos on the subject of golf to choose from. But for those that are just beginning, or for those that want to improve their game, books and videos can be a great aid in learning how to play the game better. It’s always best to take golf lessons from a qualified pro who can analyze your particular swing characteristics and help you correct mistakes that you’re making. But having some golf books and videos that you can also look at and study on your own can be beneficial as well. The advantage that books and videos have is that they can give you step-by-step diagrams and images that can make learning the game so much easier. So why not ask your golf instructor for his recommendation on the best golf books and videos to use along with his personal instruction?
Golf gloves have been in use for many years, and they have a very beneficial use for most golfers. It’s obvious that the golf swing introduces quite a bit of torque in the body during the backswing, and it’s very easy for your hands to lose good contact with the club while going through the backswing. A good golf glove can help prevent the club from twisting in your hand as you swing, helping you maintain a more consistent swing every time. When looking for a golf glove its usually best to stick with a leather glove, and one that is water repellent.
Knowing the distance to the golf pin from where you are on the course is one of the most difficult things for newer golfers to master. But these days, you can buy a golf range finder to help you calculate the exact distance to the flag every single time. Usually these range finders come in a binocular design and use a laser beam to calculate the distance to the flagstick. So if you happen to be terrible at guessing distances, a good golf range finder can be a worthwhile investment.
One of the most useful golf accessories that you can buy is a good set of golf clubhead covers. As your clubs travel in your golf bag they often bang against one another, and it’s very easy for them to actually damage the club faces when they do. Having a good set of club head covers can solve that problem easily and quickly, protecting your irons and woods from knicks and scratches along the way.
Golf swing software can also be beneficial for many golfers, helping them break down each segment of their swing and analyze it carefully. Many golf analyzer software programs will even allow you to compare your swing with some of the pros, giving you a good example of what you want your swing to look like as you make improvement. All you have to do is capture the video of your golf swing, and then use the golf swing software to make the analysis.
The game of golf is meant to be both fun and challenging at the same time, and there are plenty of golf accessories that meet that criteria too. Hopefully the list of accessories mentioned above will help you be able to improve your game as well.

Is it considered proper ettiquette to tip a golf instructor? I generously tip waitstaff when I dine out, but I don’t tip the hardware store employee who explains how to fix something. I tip a cab driver, but I don’t tip the person who bags my groceries. I am just wondering where golf instructors fall in the tipping category.

The lesson is 30 minutes and i really don’t like when the instructor grabs the club and tells me to be in a certain posture. I get really nervous, feel like passing out and am afraid that i can’t tolerate it and i will just run away and make a fool of myself?

Any advice?

I was thinking if i get really uncomfortable i could ask to get a drink of water. That is only one break though. Ah man what if i have a panic attack?

So you’ve hit a few balls and you are thinking of taking up golf. Or maybe you’ve been playing for years and you would like to find a way to improve. Whether you are a seasoned Tour pro, a raw beginner, or anyone in between, at some point you will likely wonder if you should invest in some golf lessons.

Golf is a complex game where so many elements of the golf swing are interconnected. One minute aspect of your swing can impact the results dramatically. Because we can not see ourselves in action, we have to rely on others to view our swings and give us feedback, yet so many of us are willing to entrust that responsibility to our friends and playing partners, most of whom are completely unqualified to offer such advice. Instead of professional feedback that we would receive during golf lessons, we are told the famous golf axioms; “keep your head still,” “keep your arm straight,” so on, and so forth.

Golf lessons from a qualified professional are likely to help any golfer improve on their game. There are different kinds of golf lessons that are sure to fit any golfers schedule, budget, or needs. Beginners might opt for group golf lessons at a local golf course. Group golf lessons are less expensive and focus on the most basic fundamentals of the golf swing, such as grip, stance, and posture. More advanced golfers are likely to benefit more from a one-on-one golf lesson with the professional .Their trained eye can not only help diagnose any problems you have with your swing, but they can also supply you with specific practice drills that you can work on after your golf lesson.

Today’s golf lessons are often more than just a teacher watching a pupil hit golf balls. Modern video equipment, and computer programs designed specifically for analyzing the golf swing, can be used to examine your swing in super slow motion so that the smallest faults can be identified and resolved.

Another advantage to golf lessons is that the professional can analyze the clubs you are using and help you decide if they are proper for your game. With the hundreds of brands of golf clubs on the market it is hard to know if your equipment is ideal for your game. Today’s professional has the resources to analyze your game from top to bottom during your golf lesson, your clubs included. That kind of expertise and feedback will make golf lessons beneficial for anyone, no matter what their ability.

Chris Simpson asked:

For anyone who wants to learn the secrets of golf there are lots of lessons for beginners. Special golf schools organize golf lessons for beginners all year round for groups of fifteen to twenty people. Recently it has become a business practice to send members of the staff to golf lessons for beginners in order to achieve some team building goals. Or you may simply take advantage of golf lessons for beginners while on vacation and the hotel where you’re staying offers this facility. This could be a truly unique opportunity for you and there’d be lots of fun.

Who can take advantage of golf lessons for beginners? There are no restrictions for age or gender; on the contrary children are highly encouraged to take up a sport that creates great focus skills. The internet is the most rapid way to learn on the possible offers golf schools provide. You may choose to have golf lessons for beginners with an individual trainer, or you may attend regular classes designed for groups. It is important to mention that it comes much more difficult to start learning golf on your own, whereas golf lessons for beginners provide the basic knowledge necessary for further practice.

Keep in mind that if you want to take golf lessons for beginners as a hobby, you have to take it as some sort of leisure activity. By this I mean that you should make all the efforts necessary without losing the fun part of it, after all this is a sport and a great relaxation opportunity. Golf lessons for beginners vary in price from one school to another; usually classes are more expensive at clubs that target mainly executives for instance. At regular sports centres, the costs are pretty accessible when it comes to golf lessons for beginners.

A site such as Ultimate Golf Tips will give some insight on this sport and will teach you what to expect from golf lessons for beginners. Moving to the next step on your own should not be too difficult afterwards. You may consider the golf lessons for beginners as the first step of individual practice too, as when you master the basics it is a lot easier to move to some more difficult exercises. There are plenty of tips online for those who want to aim at the professional level; yet, it takes patience and a lot of practice. Good luck!

I am really hoping to find specific information and not just a general answer like “Try the Westchester Golf Course.” I know that there are like First Tee classes for that age, but just locating them are difficult.

Thank you in advance : )
